The Service Industry

There are many kinds of part time jobs in the society.　I think many people experienced some part time job during high school or university. Before I entered the　university.　I worked in delivery sushi shop and restaurant,　but in both jobs I didn’t have contact with customers.　Now I work in a home – center and I have contact with many kinds of customers in this place. There, I feel the pleasure and responsibility of working.

First, we must be careful about our speech, appearance, smile and greeting, because it is necessary for service industry. No matter how beautiful the store is, customers will think poorly of this shop? If we must use honorific word and so tidy ourselves up.

Second, we must be a various position for every kind of customers, because we can stop our tasks whenever, If a customer want to know when the store will open or close, don’t know some products place, a child is lost. Then, I have to answer the all of these problem and question. Now I take charge of the car, leisure and sometimes household goods, so I can tell you details about these products. If I can’t answer the question when a customer ask me a something about product we can ask another person who take charge of that product.

Finally, I have worked in the home－center for one and half years consectively. There were many hard things and some troubles. For example, the relationship between clerks and customers, but customers sometimes said “ Thank you very much “ and their words made me happy. I feel enjoyment when my boss entrust me with a new task. I think this feeling can’t be understood by the other person. In the near future, I will probably graduate from this university and I will get job, by the time I want to be a more nice and wonderful person through the service industry.

Thank You

I think that words have magic power. Positive words such as like, love and lucky make people happy. On the other hand negative words like bad, dislike and hate make people unsatisfied. Especially, I think that “Thank you” has a lot of wonderful power. It makes me happy, fine and warm, so I think that “Thank you” is a special word.

To say “Thank you” means that people have a feeling of gratitude. It is important to have this feeling. When we support each other, we can appreciate it. For example, friends are supporting each other. When I get depressed, my friend gives me some advice and encourages me. When my friend gets depressed, I give her some advice and encourage her. The society called a family is also the same. The father works for this family. The mother does housework for her family and vice versa. The father and mother contribute to the fact that we can spend everyday properly. We can have appreciated these things no matter how trivial.

If I can’t hear “Thank you” when I help someone, I feel aggravated with the parson. My heart is not calm at all, and my mood becomes poor. I think that I never want to help the parson. It is not good that the person who was helped don’t to say “Thank you”. I really want the parson to say “Thank you”. I think that everyone has experienced it. It is important that everybody is very conscious of these.

Therefore, I want you not to forget to say “thank you”. I want to say “Thank you”, if I think about gratitude even a little for you. We can become happy by saying “Thank you” to each other every time. There are other various words which have many magic powers. When I talk to someone, I want to reflect on the words.
